Polaroid Now & Now+ Generation 3: What’s New

Polaroid Now and Now Plus Generation 3 instant cameras in multiple colours

Polaroid Now vs Now+ Generation 3: which camera should you choose?

Quick answer: Choose the Polaroid Now Generation 3 for a straightforward point-and-shoot camera. Choose the Polaroid Now+ Generation 3 if you want to connect the camera to the Polaroid App for extra creative controls. Check each product page for current Hong Kong prices, colours and availability.

What do both cameras share?

Both Generation 3 models use a two-lens autofocus system, with improved ranging and light metering compared with earlier generations. Both have a built-in self-timer and double-exposure mode. Polaroid says the updates are designed to improve results, especially in brighter light; individual instant-film results still depend on lighting and shooting conditions.

What does Now+ add?

The Now+ connects to the Polaroid App to unlock controls including aperture priority, manual mode and remote shutter. The standard Now has self-timer and double exposure on the camera, but does not offer these app-connected camera controls. The Polaroid App can also scan and share developed prints; scanning a print is different from controlling the camera.

Which film works with Now and Now+ Gen 3?

Both cameras accept full-size Polaroid i-Type and 600 film. They do not use Polaroid Go film or Fujifilm Instax film. Browse Polaroid film at Megma and check the film pack before purchase.

Which one is better for a beginner?

If you want to load film and shoot without setting up an app, start with Now. If you expect to experiment with manual settings or remote shooting, Now+ gives you those options. Neither camera guarantees a particular look: instant film responds to exposure, temperature and development conditions.
